New funding to help Orkney folk stay warm and save money

New funding is available to help cut the cost of keeping homes warm in Orkney.

Orkney Islands Council is working with Energy Saving Scotland and the Scottish Government to provide help and advice to people who would like to save money by ensuring their homes are well insulated.

Under the Universal Home Insulation Scheme (UHIS), households in Orkney could be eligible for grants for a range of energy-saving measures, including upgrades to floor, wall and loft insulation.
