New Year’s Ba’ to feature on FIFA TV programme

Footage of this year’s New Year’s Day Ba’ game is to be beamed out to millions of TV viewers around the world this week as part of the popular football TV programme FIFA Futbol Mundial.

The programme, which will later be shown in the UK on Saturday, February 15, via Channel 4’s Trans World Sport, will show action from this month’s Ba’ and also feature select locations from around Orkney such as Skara Brae, the Italian Chapel and Marwick Head.

A film crew from FIFA’s official TV programme travelled to the county over the festive period to report on the New Year’s Day Ba’ in a trip part-funded by VisitScotland.
