NHS Orkney to receive funding uplift
The Scottish Government has confirmed that NHS Orkney will receive an extra £4.2 million of funding in 2015/16.
The money is part of the additional £65 million for health boards announced by health secretary, Shona Robison.
NHS Orkney will also receive an additional £172,000 to address pressures such as the rising cost of new drugs.
According to the Scottish Government, the additional funding brings the total uplift for NHS Orkney for next year to £5.4 million.
