North Isles back to three boat operation

Ferry services returned to a three boat operation in the North Isles again today, Tuesday, for the first time for almost a fortnight.

Last month, as the dispute between ferry crews and management continued, passengers were advised that an amended timetable would operate on the outer North Isles from Tuesday August 20, until further notice, as crews continued their overtime ban and work to rule status.

Last week, crewmembers were still being balloted on the latest offer from Orkney Islands Council.
