Northern Isles election result expected around 3.30am

The Northern Isles result from the General Election is expected around 3.30am on Friday morning.

This year, for the first time, the votes for the Orkney and Shetland constituency are being counted in Shetland and the results will be posted at www.shetland.gov.uk/elections.

The results will also be posted on The Orcadian website.
