NorthLink vessel delayed due to engine problem
The NorthLink ferry Hrossey , arrived in Kirkwall around three and a quarter hours behind schedule in the early hours of this morning, due to a minor engine problem.
The vessel was scheduled to depart Lerwick at 5.30pm yesterday but only left at 9pm, after the fault had to be repaired locally. Subsequently it arrived in Kirkwall at 2.15am and departed at 3am.
A spokesperson for NorthLink said that the engine problem was fixed fully and should not require any further attention.
The ship berthed in Aberdeen Harbour at 9.10am this morning.
