OIC recycling disruptions

Orkney Islands Council is advising that, due to vehicle breakdowns, there are changes to recycling collections over coming days for Areas 7 and 8.

Collections for Areas 7 and 8, which are usually collected on Tuesday and Wednesday respectively, will be rescheduled for this week only as follows:

Area 7 — Kirkwall (South), Holm and Burray (North): usually Tuesday, will be collected Thursday, January 17 instead.

Area 8 — South Ronaldsay and Burray (South): usually Wednesday, will be collected this Saturday, January 19 instead.

All other household recycling collections will run as usual (i.e. other areas usually picked up on a Tuesday or Wednesday are unaffected).

Residents are reminded to have bins out by 8am for collection.
