OIC urges responses on affordable warmth survey

Orkney Islands Council is asking householders to take part in a survey on affordable warmth being issued to every residential address over the next ten weeks.

OIC head of housing and homelessness, Frances Troup said that responses will refresh and document the levels of fuel poverty in Orkney.

She said: “From both a service planning point of view, and to help us bid for funding to address fuel poverty, it’s important we have good quality data.

“So we’re keen that households fill out as much of the survey as they can, so we can get an updated snapshot of the types of properties in Orkney and the level of fuel poverty.”
