New office bearers for Kirkwall and St Ola Community Council

Kirkwall and St Ola Community Council has elected a new chairman.

At a meeting yesterday evening David Dawson was voted in by fellow members, and replaces community council stalwart Bryan Taylor in the position.

Accepting the role Mr Dawson paid tribute to Mr Taylor who has served on the community council since 1976.

In the role of vice-chairman Tom Rendall takes over from George Eunson.
