Open days at refurbished Stromness property

The doors of the newly refurbished Commercial Hotel, in Stromness, are open to the public today as part of a series of open days running until Saturday.

The OIC purchased the Commercial Hotel in 2008 for £300,000, along with the slipway known as Graham Chancellor Miller’s Pier, as part of the £3.4million Stromness Townscape Heritage Initiative (THI).

The inside of the building has been refurbished into office accommodation, with the outside of the building completely transformed, too.

The building is open today, Thursday,  and tomorrow from 10am until 4pm. On Saturday, it is open from 10am until 2pm.
