Opinions sought on local substance misuse services
People in Orkney, who have contact with substance misuse services, are being encouraged to take advantage of a national ‘Patient Opinion’ website aimed at helping the Orkney Alcohol and Drugs Partnership (OADP) improve its services.
The website – www.careopinion.org.uk – can be used by people who access Orkney Alcohol Counselling and Advisory Service (OACAS), Employability Orkney, Orkney Youth Café, Relationships Scotland Orkney, Y People Orkney, Needle Exchange Service (Nordhaven Clinic) and the Community Mental Health Team (NHS Orkney).
The feedback will help the groups tailor their services to meet the needs of local people.
Katie Spence, the OADP substance misuse development officer, said: “If you have experienced care and support from any of our services, either as user or carer, you can share your experience online on a confidential basis. Your comments will be passed on to the right service so they can respond and make changes if necessary. Complaints, compliments, comments and suggestions are all welcomed as they can help services to improve.
“The OADP welcomes the feedback as we are constantly looking at ways our services can be improved and user views are so important in how we do that.”
