Orcadian DJ’s takes to the BBC decks

Kirkwall DJ, Will Atkinson, is to host his first ‘residency spot’ with BBC Radio 1 just before midnight tonight.

Will, who is one of four DJs to be have recently been given a spot with the broadcaster, has said that working for the station “has always been the dream.”

Since leaving Orkney, Will has become known as a trance music producer and travels the world performing at high- profile events.

He recently said of his segment on BBC Radio 1, that he looks forward to playing “the hottest, most cutting-edge, real, electronic music out there.”
