Orkney beat Wick Academy on penalties

Orkney beat semi-professional outfit Wick Academy at Pickaquoy yesterday afternoon to win the Green Cup.

The score was 2-2 after 90 minutes, with Orkney’s goals coming from man-of-the-match Thorfinn Stout, and 16-year-old Sam Hunter.

The home side then went on to win on penalties to record a famous victory.
