Orkney FC lose eight goal thriller

Orkney FC’s bid to reach consecutive Football Times Cup Final’s ended in defeat this afternoon as they lost a high-scoring encounter away to Golspie Sutherland 5-3.

Orkney lost out to the same opponents in last year’s showpiece and Golspie again proved too strong, adding to their 4-1 defeat of the islanders earlier in the season.

Golspie will meet Thurso FC in the final after they swept Alness United aside 4-0.
