Orkney FC secure cup final spot

Orkney Football Club secured their place in the final of the Jock Mackay Memorial Cup this afternoon, with a 4-1 win over Clachnacuddin ‘A’.

It was a convincing win for Orkney, despite the hosts going 1-0 down early on in the match, which was played at the KGS 3G pitch in front of a large crowd.

The score was levelled through a Clach own goal, before Wayne Monkman scored to ensure Orkney went in 2-1 ahead at half-time.

Chris Hellewell added a third shortly after the restart, before man of the match Steven Edwards made the game safe just after the hour mark from the penalty spot.
