Orkney highlighted to the oil and gas industry

A three-day event aimed at promoting Orkney, and businesses in the islands, to the oil and gas industry, has been hailed as a great success.
The Showcase Orkney event, which took place over the last three days, was organised by trade group Energy North, working together with Orkney Islands Council and Highlands and Islands Enterprise, to highlight the extent of the local supply chain to developers interested in procuring services from Orkney-based businesses.
As part of the events a conference took place, as well as site visits to various locations and businesses.
Senior representatives from six Aberdeen based oil companies the opportunity to see at first hand, what Orkney has to offer, as well as meeting face to face with local supply chain representatives.
