Orkney pool player captains Scotland to European triumph

An Orkney pool player has led her country to European Championship glory.
Rachael Sutherland — Orkney’s Sportsperson of the Year — captained the Scotland ‘B’ team to victory, lifting the cup after a thrilling comeback.
Finding themselves 10-7 down to England in the final and one match away from defeat, Sutherland and her teammates mounted an amazing comeback, reeling off four consecutive wins, to be crowned European champions.
A delighted Sutherland, who won her match to level the score at 10-10, said it was a great comeback.
