Orkney RFC travel south to Borders

Orkney’s rugby players are set to play their 19th league match of the season, facing St Boswells in the Borders.

The weekend could be a pivotal one for the BT National League Division 3 title race with the top two — Lasswade and Dumfries Saints facing each other. Third-placed Glasgow Academicals face a tough test at home to Haddington, while Orkney could inflict a major blow on St Boswells’ promotion hopes should the islanders gain a positive result.

Orkney are eighth in the league on 41 points, while their opponents are fourth, 30 points ahead.

The match is currently scheduled to start at 3pm, although this could be subject to change.
