Orkney to have a second crack at the Scorries

Orkney’s footballers are to continue their preparations for next weekend’s Milne Cup clash against Shetland this weekend, facing Wick Academy for the second consecutive Saturday.

Last weekend saw Highland League side Academy beat the islanders 5-4 on penalties to lift the Green Challenge Cup after a 1-1 draw after 90 minutes. However, with Orkney keen to integrate several players back into the squad following club commitments, and Wick keen to step up their match sharpness ahead of the new Highland League season, the two sides will play a friendly match on Saturday.

The match is set to kick-off at Pickaquoy at 1pm.
