Christmas is a time for being with family, eating plenty of food and — of course — and opening presents.
But, for four Orkney families, this special time of year brought the best gift of all — new life.
Balfour Hospital Maternity Unit saw a bumper baby boom, this week, with three baby boys and one peedie lass all born during the festive period.
