Orkney Youth Awards 2015 take place

Young folk who have volunteered, taken on training or raised money in the local community were recognised at a special ceremony held in the King Street Halls last night.

2015’s Orkney Youth Awards saw Orkney MSP Liam MacArthur present Saltire, Connect, Youth Achievement and Dynamic Youth awards as well as Involvement training awards and Summit awards nominations. Over 100 awards were presented.

The event was presented by Orkney’s own Members of the Scottish Youth Parliament, Jack Norquoy and Thorfinn Moffat alongside Scott Manson.
