Over 67 per cent turnout in Orkney and Shetland

Returning officer for Orkney and Shetland, John Mundell, has announced that there were 23,240 votes cast in the constituency during this election.

This represents a turnout of 67.93 per cent of the electorate.

The counting of votes for each of the candidates is now underway.
