Orkney’s Palace Players took the top prize at tonight’s Scottish Community Drama Association Northern Divisional Youth Final held at the Orkney Arts Theatre.
The divisional youth final saw performances from the Blairgowrie Young Players, the Ury Players from Stonehaven and the Carnoustie Theatre Club as well as the local theatre group.
After all four performances adjudicator Alasdair Hawthorn announced that the Palace Players had taken the Jayne Nicol Youth Trophy for overall winner with their performance of Down Came the Rain. The runner-up prize went to the Carnoustie Theatre Club.
