Pentland Ferries has extended its suspension of sailings for a further week.
Services had been forecast to resume on Sunday, July 10, following the grounding of mv Alfred.
In a statement online this Thursday morning, the company said: “We very much regret that we have been forced to extend the suspension of sailings up to and including Sunday July 17, with service now due to resume on Monday, July 18.
“We are automatically refunding those that were due to travel during the suspension and will be contacting everyone affected by email or phone, as soon as we can.
“Pentland Ferries sincerely apologises for the disruption to travel and wish to assure passengers that we are making every effort to resolve the situation as soon as possible.”
