Picky Road closed after accident

Kirkwall’s Pickaquoy Road was closed for a time this evening after an accident between the Lidl and Tesco supermarkets.

It is understood that a pedestrian was struck by a passing vehicle.

Police closed the road for around an hour, urging motorists to avoid the area. It reopened to traffic around 6.25pm.
