Pier damage hits Eday ferries

Due to weather damage at the Eday pier, Orkney Ferries has advised that there will be no vehicle service to or from Eday until further notice and damage is assessed and repaired. The possibility of a foot passenger service will be reviewed today, Monday.

The following sailings today are/were affected:

• The Eday leg of the 0740 sailing has been cancelled.
• The Eday leg of the 1040 sailing is cancelled for vehicles and passengers but may still have to call into Eday as per timetable.
• The Eday leg of the 1600 sailing has been cancelled for vehicles. The passenger service is under review.
