Police appeal after collision at Churchill Barrier

Kirkwall Police are keen to speak to anyone who may have witnessed a vehicle collision which occurred around 7.30pm on Wednesday, October 10.

The collision, at the south end of Churchill Barrier Four, at Cara, involved a grey Mercedes minibus travelling north and another vehicle of similar size travelling south.

Anyone with any information, particularly about the identity of the vehicle travelling south, is urged to contact Kirkwall Police on 872241.

• The A965 road at Finstown was fully re-opened last night following a one vehicle road traffic collision at around 4pm.

According to police, all three occupants of the vehicle were taken to Balfour Hospital in Kirkwall and their injuries are not thought to be serious.
