Police appeal after totem pole vandalised

Police are appealing for information after someone tried to pull down “The Viking” totem pole at the fourth barrier beach.

According to a spokesman, those responsible targeted the carved pole sometime last night, possibly using tusing a According to police, the vandals tried to take the pole down, possibly using a vehicle.
