Pops on parade at Stromness bonfire
The Stromness Community Council and Stromness Business Forum is appealing to residents to come out and support the town’s annual fireworks display tonight, Wednesday.
The event is at the car park area of Copland’s Dock, with a competition to judge the best “pop” – carved and decorated turnip – taking place before hand.
Community council chairman, George Argo, said: “Because the annual event is entirely funded by public donations, we would like to see as many folk as possible on the night, where any donations, however big or small, will be gratefully received.”
