Road works planned in West Mainland

Orkney Islands Council has advised that there is to be further road works around the Orkney mainland next week.

The council will be carrying out surface dressing and road marking operations on sections of the A967 Stromness to Birsay road the back road in Dounby and on the A986, in Dounby.

There will also be white lining works on the A964  Orphir road and on various sections of the A967.

There will be temporary road closures or manned traffic control in operation, which may involve diversions.
