Sebay shearling named ram show champion

Thursday’s Orkney Sheep Breeders’ Association ram show, held at Orkney Auction Mart, saw a pure Texel shearling from J. S. Baillie & Co, of Sebay, Tankerness, take the champion of champions title.

Balfour Baillie said: “I’m delighted. I knew it was a good sheep, but you just have to take your luck on the day.”

The overall reserve went to a Suffolk ram lamb from J. Scott & Sons, Claybraes, South Ronaldsay.
