Sichel to start defence of Monaco race title
Orkney ultra-distance runner William Sichel is today due to kick-start the defence of his “No Finish Line” eight-day ultra-marathon in Monaco.
Sichel, 59, from Sanday, won the event outright in November last year and set a new record — becoming the first person to cover more than 1,000km during the event.
The race will be started at 1pm UK-time today, with the final gun being fired at 1pm UK-time on Sunday, November 25.
William’s crewmen will update his progress during the race at www.williamsichel.co.uk.
