Significant improvement at Stromness Primary School

Significant improvement has been made at Stromness Primary School according to Education Scotland inspectors.

Following an inspection in March 2011, inspectors had returned to the school in 2012 and 2013 to monitor progress and look at how it had continued to improve its work.

Last month, the OIC provided Education Scotland with a progress report which outlined the improvements the school continues to make.

Education Scotland has now advised that they are ‘confident that the school has the capacity to continue to improve’ and that they won’t be making any further visits to the school.
