Social Housing Charter meeting invite
Orkney Islands Council and OHAL are encouraging tenants in Orkney to get involved in the final stages of the Scottish Government’s Social Housing Charter consultation by coming along to a meeting in the St Magnus Centre on Monday, November 14, at 5.30pm.
The Charter will form the basis of how the performance of landlords such as Orkney Islands Council and Orkney Housing Association will be measured in the future.
It is proposed that all those who receive services from these landlords will be involved in monitoring their performance against the standards set out in the Charter. So before it is finalised, the Scottish Government wishes to receive feedback on the Charter from as many service users as possible
Lesley Baird from the Tenant Participation Advisory Service Scotland will be at the meeting to talk about the Charter and take tenants’ views back to the Scottish Government.
