St Rognvald House consultation gets under way
An engagement exercise, to help the OIC develop plans to extend and modernise the care facilities provided at St Rognvald House, begins today, Wednesday.
The aim is to provide improved facilities for older people in a caring and homely environment. The project involves the construction of a modern 24-place extension at St Rognvald’s at a cost of £5.6 million.
“This is an opportunity for people living at St Rognvald’s, their families and other guardians, staff and the wider public to provide comments and ideas that will be fed back to Councillors,” said Caroline Sinclair, head of service with Orkney Health and Care.
“These could be about rooms and communal spaces at St Rognvald’s, the gardens, car parking or visitor arrangements. Whatever your thoughts about these and any other matters involving the plans to extend and modernise St Rognvald’s, we welcome your views and suggestions.”
To take part in the engagement exercise, people can email Lynda Bradford at OHACfeedback@orkney.gov.uk or phone Martha Kirby on 873535.
