Stromness car park closed for waste water upgrade work
The Ferry Inn pay-and-display car park in Stromness will be out of use from today, Monday, for around three months.
The closure is part of Scottish Waters £10m upgrade of the Stromness waste water network.
The first part of the project involves construction of new manholes and sewer pipes at the pumping station at the former mart site and the pumping station within the Ferry Inn car park.
According to the OIC, alternate pedestrian routes will be in place and the construction area fenced off. Some localised traffic management will also be in place.
