Stromness Lifeboat called out to grounded yacht
Stromness Lifeboat was called out a very short distance this morning after a yacht grounded close to the harbour.
The lifeboat was launched at 6am when the vessel, named Mrs Muir, a single-handed yacht from Shetland, ran aground by the channel marker outside the marina.
The lifeboat towed her off the bank at 8am when the tide had risen, and returned to her berth.
