Swannay brewery’s pale ale wins SIBA gold
Orkney’s Highland Brewing Company has added another medal to its trophy cabinet at the SIBA’s first-ever BeerX event in Sheffield.
Following on from its recent win at the the International Brewing Awards, the Swannay-based brewery won a gold medal with its Pale Ale in the class for premium bitters.
The Highland Brewing Company’s delighted owner, and head brewer, Rob Hill explained: “We are doing remarkably well this year with our Pale Ale being recognised as not only world class by international judges but by our British peers as being one of the most remarkable beers brewed in this country.
“This is an amazing achievement for a relatively small brewery that brews beers to perfection.”
