Total eclipse of the Sun, observed from Rousay

The weather forecast did not augur well for the eclipse but in the event, here on Rousay, it was possible to view the entire eclipse from start to finish with some minor interruptions from cloud, particularly close to mid-eclipse.
However, it proved possible to image through fine cloud and to secure an image with the Sun showing just three per cent of its entire, normal visible surface. (Instrument 90mm achromatic refractor with Orion glass filter and Minolta Dimage F200 digital camera.)
