Tourism industry conference next Thursday

The Orkney Tourism Industry Conference entitled “Keep one step ahead” is set to take place at the Pickaquoy Centre next Thursday.

The event runs from 9.30am until 3.15pm, and is open to everyone who is linked to the tourism industry.

The format of the conference this year will allow delegates the opportunity to have one to one sessions with some of the guest speakers. The 2012 Visit Orkney brochure will also be launched at the event.

Speakers include Mike Cantley, chairman VisitScotland; Sue Crossman, Tourism Intelligence Scotland; Stephen Hagan, convener, OIC; Stuart Brain, Green Business UK Ltd, and Simone Kurtze, Social Media and Visit Scotland.
