Traffic warden concerns raised

During a debate in the Scottish Parliament yesterday, Orkney MSP Liam McArthur once again raised concerns about the decision by Police Scotland to withdraw funding from traffic warden services.

Mr McArthur highlighted the impact that this decision would have in the islands, and urged Scottish Ministers to encourage Police Scotland to rethink their plans.

Commenting during the debate, Mr McArthur said that a one size fits all approach rarely takes into account the needs of island communities.
