Twelve-hour sponsored swim

The swimming team representing Orkney at this year’s Island Games in Bermuda are taking part in an overnight sponsored swim this weekend.

The event, running concurrently at the swimming pools in Kirkwall and Stromness, is due to start at 6pm this evening and will finish at 6am tomorrow morning.

Groups of swimmers will cover an hour at a time during the fundraiser, and will take part in a continous relay.

Anyone wishing to take part, or sponsor the team, can pick up a form at either the Stromness or Kirkwall pools.
