Update on Garden House services

Police Scotland have confirmed NHS Orkney can return to Garden House following the earlier break-in.

However, staff will remain working within the Balfour site until the facility is cleaned and repair work completed.

A spokeswoman from NHS Grampian said “It is intended that Garden House will become operational tomorrow but we cannot give a definite time at present.

“In the meantime patient travel can be booked through the Medical Records Office at Balfour Hospital and all phone lines at Garden House have been diverted to other locations. We appreciate your understanding and patience at this time.”
