Video features the RNLI in action

The RNLI has issued a video showing the lifesaving charity in action during a number of callouts during 2015.

Releasing its annual figures, the charity’s lifeboats in Scotland launched 1,078 times.

Details of the number of local rescues carried out by the three Orkney based lifeboats can be found in The Orcadian, on Thursday.
