Date set for Finstown Post Office re-opening

The Post Office in Finstown is re-opening later this month, more than two years after it was closed due to retirement.

The service will open to the public at 11am on Thursday, June 8, at its former location — Grinnabrek.

The facility closed in February, 2015, when the postmaster at the time, Ann Linklater retired. The new postmasters are Mark and Sue Kirkbride who have said they are really looking forward to their new venture.

For the first week of the re-opening, from Thursday, June 8, to Wednesday, June 14, the service will be available every day except Sunday, from 9.30am until 12.30pm.

Thereafter, it will be open on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, each week.
