A weekend of Blues in Stromness

The 2013 Orkney Blues Weekend kicks off tonight and continues until Sunday evening.

Over the course of the weekend a wealth of local and visiting talent will appear at a variety of Stromness venues.

Headlining the festival this year are the Jed Thomas Band, the Jamie Harper Band, the Red Dirt Skinners, Richard Townsend and The Blues Broadcasting Company.

Local bands include: The Fastliners, D-Chords, The Hoodoo Men, Rocker and Bad Apple.

All events are free of charge with exception of the grand finale at the Stromness Hotel on Sunday which will feature all the headlining acts from the festival.
