Appeal after suspected theft from charity shop

Police are appealing for information after a number of items appear to have been stolen from the Blue Door charity shop on Victoria Street, Kirkwall.

The suspected theft is thought to have followed one of the shop’s windows being broken, some time shortly before 10pm last night.

A police spokesman said that they have traced the person responsible for breaking the window of the shop but inquiries are ongoing as to the removal of the items from the shop.
