Bands prepare to party for Paul
A live music event will take place tonight to celebrate the life of a brave Orkney teenager, who sadly died from cancer in 2004.
Party for Paul, in memory of Paul Firth, will bring together Kirkwall City Pipe Band and rock bands Constant Party and Daft Notion for a night of fundraising for CLIC Sargent — the charity which became a lifeline to Paul and his family in their time of need.
The dance in Matchmakers tonight, Saturday, will be preceded by a coffee morning in the Guide Hall, Kirkwall, between 10am and 2pm.
The aim is to remember Paul for his brave, fighting spirit and optimism during his illness, helping CLIC Sargent at the same time.
Entry to Party For Paul is pay at the door, and costs £7. Doors open at 7.30pm.
