All set for another festive Ba’ season

The first of the season’s Ba’ games gets under way in Kirkwall at 10am tomorrow, Christmas Day.

The Boys’ Ba’ will be thrown up by Uppie stalwart Richard Gibson. Three hours later, at 1pm, Uppie Evan Monkman will get the Men’s Ba’ under way – 25 years after winning his own ba’.

Last season saw the Doonies take three of the four games. The boys claimed victory on Christmas and New Year’s Day, with the Doonie men also triumphant on New Year’s Day.

The Uppie victory was in the Christmas Day Men’s Ba.
