By-election polling cards arrive this weekend

Electors in the Kirkwall West and Orphir ward should receive their by-election polling card  this weekend.

Following the resignation of Jack Moodie in September, a by-election to elect a new councillor is being held on November 27.

Four candidates are in the running – Laurence Leonard, Lorraine McBrearty, Leslie Manson and Gillian Skuse.

According to the OIC, anyone who doesn’t receive a polling card this weekend should check they are registered to vote with the local Electoral Registration Office on 876222.
